the speed is too slow, in real life, this will only help prevent car damage and avoid repair when we screw up out brake or accelerator. they should show what happen when are car is going at about 50km/h.

The title

ペダル踏み間違い防止

as google translated, mean "Pedal stepping mistake prevention"

From the video, only the new Corolla/Auris and Camry, as well as Forester 2019 score full mark on that criteria.

Sian, got Honda Sensing still get this kind of results. [dead]

The more important question is its effectiveness when a car is travelling at highger speed .

This new safety test is actually to check if the test car can detect imminent collision from standstill and stop itself safely, in forward direction and backward direction. It is not meant for other road dituation, so please do not anyhow fault it for something it is not meant to accomplish.

I watch through half of it only as quite boring. But at least even if did not work as expected, the cars did produce the visual and aural warnings which are quite loud and obvious, just that no autonomous braking being applied.

So moving forward, all jap car makers will need to incorporate this feature in order to score higher safety marks. This is definitely something we will welcome.

normally at higher like 50km/h, most manufacturers manage to reduce speed to about 30km/h before impact.

Subaru always award the best safety Japanese car in USA safety test

Because they are the first to bring Eyesight to all cars in their line-up, even their "entry-level" Impreza.
