Hyruga 1st Gear December 21, 2018 Share December 21, 2018 Should cyclists be banned/fined on the road given that the Park Connector is just beside the road? Vinceng Turbocharged December 21, 2018 Share December 21, 2018 Wait till you see cyclists cycling abreast on the lane on the right, beside the cycling lane along the Changi Coast Rd Cycling Lane - they are challenging those heavy vehicles. There is a dedicated cycling lane for them but they choose to cycle on the road.

BanCoe Hypersonic December 21, 2018 Share December 21, 2018 Gotten used to them, mostly on weekends in the early wee hours and the best part is they are also TCSS to each others ; some are so well organised that they have a last man to shout out too and come with LED lights blinking some kind of signage on his clothes to be aware; evne narrow roads like Neo Tiew Road in Kranji till Lim Chu kang also got, that one more scary some more Lol. In Sg dunno why so kay kiang wanna take up a whole lane at 20kmh In most countries, its legal. Should cyclists be banned/fined on the road given that the Park Connector is just beside the road? So many millions have been spent on Park Connectors to bring safety to cyclists and yet some still cycle on the road. Cuz PCN not meant for cyclists only. There is a speed limit. So those who cycle slower usually don't mind to use PCN. But most road cyclist cruise between 30-40km/h. Not allowed on PCN.

Then the usual wasting of everyone’s time to scrape them off the road and waste water to wash away their blood. People who cannot be educated and take risk will only learn if they end up half dead and can no longer ride or won’t learn and end up dead. In either case, too bad. When a dump truck comes and mows them all down, there is no such thing as safety in numbers. Edited December 21, 2018 by Mkl22 2

There is a dedicated cycling lane for them but they choose to cycle on the road. I admit i do take the road at Changi Coast Road. Not that I wanna challenge the heavy vehicles. Never will be most cyclist intention too. The bicycle lane is not designed well for road cyclists as we do abt 30km/h or more. If you notice there's 2 bus stop along the stretch. It is just too narrow for road cyclist make worse when some workers choose to sit at the kerbs while waiting for their company transport. Another thing is maintenance, debris and stones are all along the cycling lane due to the wind or traffic. This is dangerous for cyclist.

No, because LTA decided to put a 10km/h speed limit on PCN and tell faster cyclists to use the road. Edited December 22, 2018 by Contrarian
