Lala81 Hypersonic February 14, 2019 Share February 14, 2019 (edited) I recently attended a conference. My colleague was trying to take photos with her iPhone (don't know which version, but a newer one for sure). My photos were so much faster to capture (important because presenters can just skim through slides), and super sharp (Huawei does post capture sharpening, which works very well). Also, it can detect text on the slides and use a special algorithm to sharpen it more for legibility. Truly happy with the photo taking capabilities. I ended up sending all the captured images to my friend with the Apple device (she had to eat crow and ask me lol). While technical improvements in camera sensors have improved over the last ten years, and lenses (to a far lesser degree). The biggest jump has been software. Yeah now text in photos -> transcribe to word documents etc are all possible. Pretty amazing though i don't use any of it haha I went to primary 1 talk recently, the teacher was telling us about this android free app to help reading for children. You can take a photo of the word in a book (for non native english speakers), and it will give u the correct pronunciation in audio. How cool is that haha It's what MKBHD calls the era of computational photography. Edited February 14, 2019 by Lala81 ↡ Advertisement

Lala81 Hypersonic February 14, 2019 Share February 14, 2019 By right, iOS and the A7 chip in the newest iphones should be blazing fast. Even faster than the huawei. Don't think any iphone will lag just taking normal photos. even bursts though that has something to do with RAM buffering. But iOS is so lean and mean, that it shouldn't have problem even with burst shots

Based on the mobilesq prices, the m20x one looks a worse deal cos it's cheaper by 80 dollars. https://mobilesquare.com.sg/collections/huawei
Kurty Supercharged February 15, 2019 Share February 15, 2019 after using huawei phone for almost 2 years, base on p10 pro.. reviews are: pretty good, durable. battery life is kinda poor.. phone get really hot, when you play PUBG with high resolution, to the extent, it will auto kick you out of the game.. Apps tend to hang and laggy.. probably will send to service center for a good repair before the warranty expires.
BabyBlade Internal Moderator February 15, 2019 Author Share February 15, 2019 I use the Ringke Fusion X which is (supposedly) a military grade drop tested rugged case. I prefer this to other rugged cases because the back has a large clear window to see the beautiful twilight finish on the back. The front is protected from a fall on a flat surface by protuberant bezels top and bottom. But doubt it'll protect from a fall on an uneven surface or something like a thin bar. Anyway, no tempered glass yet. Already got a couple fine scratches on mine. Probably because I'm wearing out my oleophobic layer with daily alcohol wipes, but it's a must with my job. Did yours come with a wireless charging pad? Mine didn't, but mine wasn't a telco set. Thanks. Probably can shortlist this too. But design wise, Spigen so far looks the most sleek. I got mine at $950 with wireless charger. It's one of those M1 telco set but sold by used mobile phone shop.
