Worst is the innocent neighbours house may kenna burnt too. My neigbour has those PMA for handicap, so far I guess these devices are safer than escooter.

This pmd issue is a peasant issue - hdb area/eateries accidents, hdb deaths, hdb fires, hdb pmd blitz operations to ensure compliance.

All in service of insisting on car-light singapore.

No one has pointed out - how many COEs are really being forfeited in lieu of PMDs which have become the main transport of hooligans and killing off hdb heartlanders from behind?

No ban. No end. In HDB areas.

Twincharged

My friend's place have one neighbour charge at common corridor.

Using common property power socket.

Stealing power is still not a priority concern...but the fire hazard is.

Should ask your friend to report to authorities..

Supercharged

Just buy a Garden Hose, attach a Water Sprayer....cheapest option,Fire Extinguisher got Expiry Date, sometime too old cannot work.

not all fire can use water.. particularly electrical fire..

using water for electrical fire causes more danger than good...

to be fair, most of these PMD users seems to be teenagers or young adults.. which do not seems to have any contribution or correlation to the COE quotas..

No concern for LTA. The benefit of car lite will outweigh the suffering of those house whose were burn down.

Can't wait till LTA show us the statistic of traffic reduction after PMD flooded the whole of singapore, while the pat themselves on the back for a job well done.

pmd and carlite got nothing to do with each other..........

car numbers depend on coe.

this is a major fake news

Places with lots of PMD are usually those with poor public transport connectivity.

In addition, LTA has a nasty habit of having customer before building MRT.

In the end, if ppl can't afford car, buy PMD lo.

LTA announced ZERO growth for COE.

With record number of COE extension, LTA will announce negative COE growth in next 12 mths.

Since ZERO growth, how come got COE forfeited?

You are right.

Maybe I should frame my thoughts better: the issue is whether Pmd availability can be an effective complementary transport tool to alleviate the pain of motor vehicle ownership forfeiture in esp HDB heartlanders the voting majority?

Should ask your friend to report to authorities..

Yes but in a discreet manner.

Timing also important.

If inform Town council, also must know when the charging occurs.

Another charging PMD caught fire, house burnt down

A fire left little but burnt rubble in the living room of a two-storey maisonette flat in Tampines Street 11. Preliminary investigations show that the battery of a personal mobility device was being charged when the fire occurred on Wednesday (3 July) evening. Two brothers, aged 17 and 10, were reportedly in a bedroom upstairs at the time, but escaped when alerted by neighbours.

This one is damn funny.

Seems like the owner is begging for free furniture now through a proxy.

Siao lang, why should someone donate to you when you are so well to do and living in a maisonette?
