Suddenly so many here talk like plane design expert.

Yes but one says the design tilts the nose downwards

and the other says the design tilts the nose upwards.

I don't think both can be correct.

:D

There's no doubt they'll fix the software.. at worst remove that portion. The plane itself is ok

They wont remove the software because without the sftware the plane may take a very steep angle of attack which will cause it to lose power very quickly when taking off, resulting in a much quicker crash

No right nor wrong here, Quote: the chap who had explained to me said the nose tilt downwards can be due to the plane thrust or juddering as the plane lost its position.

The other can be explained by suddenly pick up some body thrust due to mis-firing and pushes it upwards, ( referring to motor-car engine management malfunction ) Correct me if I'm wrong  [:p] Unquote.

China not taking Boeing 737 MAX 8 airworthiness certificate applications

Earlier on Tuesday, financial magazine Caijing reported that the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC) had suspended certification for Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft, citing an internal document issued on Mar 21.

"Given the aircraft faces uncertainties in its airworthiness, after studying, it is decided that (the regulator) will stop issuing Boeing 737 Max 8 airworthiness certification immediately," the CAAC was quoted by Caijing as saying, adding that the ongoing investigation had not ruled out the possibility of an aircraft design issue.

The regulator also said it will only resume reviewing applications when it is determined that the aircraft is airworthy and it has sent staff to take part in the investigation and to review design changes, according to Caijing.

Very simple, Trump plays hardball with them, now they take opportunity to play harder ball back. Xi has just signed of a 300 units of order with Airbus on 25th March consisting of A320 and A350 . See who will have more to lose.

No one else in the world could give aircraft manufacturers this kind of order quantity, and the magnitude of order could only increase, not the other way round. China also have their own ambition to materialize their own dream of becoming a mainstream aircraft maufacturere, it is not about when but sooner. They would find opportunities to jeopardize Boeing's business, and they have found a perfect timing.

2 planes have gone down killing few hundreds. Many thousands could have died if this was not revealed. The worse is they knew the problems all along and did nothing fast or at least stop the flight. Worst, even their expert talk nonsense. Ownself check ownself and claim other people no standard.

Responsible government in the world have to do something and not be an obedient dog like some countries.

Kill Boeing also not going to be good for the industry.  But they should pay dearly.

Most importantly,  the european and asia supporters, namely taiwan, japan, Australia korea and Vietnam don't betray and break rank for self interest to support USA.

Not really a matter of killing or not. What alternatives do you have ? Airbus monopoly ?  Comac ? It's not buying car.

Agree, but must make them pay. They have enjoyed profits for so long. What i hate to see is they got away easily with the aid of certain group.

tell boeing scrap and redesign the 737 max from scratch. if they want a proper competitor to airbus neo they shouldnt just plug in a more powerful engine to an existing plane just so can bypass faa rules. even with upgraded software next accident will be the oversized engine snap the wing midflight.
