They sitting in the office using eye power to monitor. When the authorities said ground the fleet, then they will do it [bounce2]

Right, grounding call is issued by the aviation authority, and our aviation authority will usually take it's cue from the US FAA that type-certificated this Boeing USA manufactured aircraft.

https://mainlymiles.com/2018/04/30/where-are-the-silkair-737-max-aircraft-flying/

Routes that Silkair is using 737 Max and how to see if your flight is 737 Max 8.

Above article was dated Apr 2018. Do recheck the website to see if there's any changes.

for he time being, it is safer to fly MAS.

If your bought Max 8 tix I don't mind buying off you at full fare.

I can think of someone I can pass the tix to.

:D

We don't want to lose you.

dont pray pray, dont end up you pay till  exhausted and she is still flying  happily.

Aiyo! Why don't they ground the fleet like China and since they have only 6.

How to monitor closely when Boeing is still trying to resolve this technical issue? What can the pilot do if it happens again?

We better check the aircraft type b4 buying any airtixs in future.

Cause no plane can replace this 800 Max because of the distance, better than NG version. If ground the plane then further destination need to use bigger plane

Grounding the Boeing 737 a touchy subject for US authorities

China, Indonesia and Ethiopian Airlines have set a precedent by grounding the planes themselves, he added.

so is Silkair still going to look towards FAA for guidance or decide for itself ?

Why just push the decision to silkair?

Out of the 3 entities that banned the planes, 1 is the airline involved in the latest crash but the other 2 are not airlines.

SG doesn't have an independent body to make such decisions?

I suppose aviation comes under ministry of transport ?

they'll probably just wait for ground recommendation from Silkair ...  [lipsrsealed]

If cannot all pakat change flight or cancel.

With 2 similar planes having unknown issues, it is fair to ground them till the reason is found. Life is more important than cost.

The United States FAA has issued an emergency airworthiness directive - a document that is usually followed suit by other aviation authorities and must be complied by operators of the 737 Max.

https://www.flyingmag.com/faa-emergency-airworthiness-directive-boeing-737-max-8

But it's not a grounding, just a set of procedures for pilots to apply. In the interim, while Boeing is working on software update.

How many of you are thinking..

If Boeing found that the cause is similar to the lion air crash, would they cover it up?

And don't know why it took so long to disable the anti stall software when they already found out that it was the one that caused the lion air crash..
