Jamesc Hypersonic March 12, 2019 Share March 12, 2019 Everybody monitoring. The more "hardworking" closely monitoring. can imagine the payout if indeed is system fault,Can sue until pants fall off? In my previous company management put in action plan but always no results So now they put in concrete action plans but still no results. I suggest steel reinforced concrete action plan next time.
Jamesc Hypersonic March 12, 2019 Share March 12, 2019 Value add is so important these days. Don't just monitor must closely monitor. I wonder if they read MCF and then decided to ground the fleet. Trump watches TV and then comes up with his new policies. All from Fox News maybe people get their ideas from MCF?
Watwheels Supersonic March 12, 2019 Share March 12, 2019 Not the time for marketing talks, he should.walk the talk by flying in and out only in max 8. https://www.channelnewsasia.com/news/world/boeing-ceo-confident-safety-737-max-ethiopian-airlines-crash-11334390 He's the ceo what. Surely he has to back his company when no one does. Of course if any bad happens he will have to step down. We just have to wait for investigation to confirm how liable is Boeing. IMO actually it's quite sad since the plane maker is trying to make the plane safer by adding the stalling prevention system. Reminds me of Takata airbag. For years their airbags saved countless life but because of that few plastic pieces on the steering wheel the exploding airbag became a killer. Bankrupting the company as a result. mersaylee Supersonic March 12, 2019 Share March 12, 2019 FAA latest guideline never mentions grounding but more operators ground their fleets instead. What software update? Maciam some computer OS crashes every now and then... Fuel efficient plane? Got Start-Stop feature built in? That ceo said the same thing...after lionair went down last year. Few hundreds in few months not convincing enough...

Dleodleo Twincharged March 12, 2019 Share March 12, 2019 (edited) Boeing’s newest version of its popular jet has many takers https://www.seattletimes.com/business/a-look-at-whos-ordered-boeings-737-max-8-passenger-jet/ China has really ordered a lot of 737 Max, no wonder they are concerned. I think China's aviation is quite efficient now. Last year Dreamliner 787-9 got problem. Air China grounded them and sent them for repair before flying them again. Hi, Those flying by Silkair over the few days please note: As of this morning, all six aircraft have been grounded in Singapore and will not be returned to service until further notice," said the airline in a Facebook post. "Our 17 Boeing 737-800NGs are not affected." "The withdrawal from service of the 737 MAX 8 fleet will have an impact on some of the airline's flight schedules," it added. "Customers who may be affected by flight disruptions will be contacted for re-accommodation." The airline said it was in "close communication" with the Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore (CAAS) and Changi Airport Group to manage the effects of flight disruptions, and said it would provide updates on affected flights "when finalised". CAAS' suspension takes effect from 2pm on Tuesday. https://www.channelnewsasia.com/news/singapore/silkair-grounds-boeing-737-max-planes-flights-changi-11335306 Edited March 12, 2019 by Dleodleo
Didu Supercharged March 12, 2019 Share March 12, 2019 I think China's aviation is quite efficient now. Last year Dreamliner 787-9 got problem. Air China grounded them and sent them for repair before flying them again. China is now in trade war with US, and can't wait to retaliate against US's treatment of Huawei. This Boeing episode is a godsend for them in the name of public safety. You can almost hear their collective "orbi good" in the Ethiopian aftermath. And being the 1st country to ground their 737 Max leads by example for other countries who operates the same plane model. China suddenly becoming so safety conscious? I don't think so!! ↡ Advertisement
