Clarifying that Prime Minister Mahathir Mohamad’s statement on the issue had been misconstrued, Lim said that the government would not shut down the national carrier, and it was merely one of the options presented to the Prime Minister. "Mahathir was only talking about the various options that were presented (to him) on Malaysia Airlines. He was not talking about closing down Malaysia Airlines," Lim told reporters on Wednesday (Mar 13). No problems. Food is good. Service is ok. Got new movies on TV. Just watched the Oscar winning Bohemian Rhapsody on flight. Picnic06-Biante15 Supersonic March 14, 2019 Share March 14, 2019 MH is a big employer and its not just about them but a whole ecosystem (eg, catering, engineering/maintenance, cleaning, airport) built around them. So I think shutting down is not the way to go. They'll have to figure out some way to make it work. Read that some years back they decided to streamline their operations to be a regional airline instead of competing with the big boys in the international arena. But with changes in CEOs guess things got muddled. Wish things work out for MH. Yes to those legally employed employee .....
