IMO, the first row of example is somewhat arbitrary. Who decides what constitutes "to teach him a lesson" and what is "with the intention to warn people"?

For the Fuel10 case, it could be argued that the poster want to warn other pump attendants of an alleged scammer hitting petrol kiosks, instead of teaching the scammer a lesson. How do we even draw the line?

From the limited info, the key point seems to be personal information cannot suka suka post. If no personal contact, then no problem.

there are people who share funny video of someone doing funny thing, just like the recent one on mrt.

then there are people who go all out csi the person id, work place, social media, etc.

i would say the second person gets heavier penalty.

Ultimately, whether a doxxing offence is made out depends on the context within which the identity information is published. The courts will interpret the law and decide each case based on its own facts. Source: Ministry of Law

yes, still somewhat vague and subjective, intentionally so or not I am not sure.

my $0.02 is that this law will be applied only in clear cut and extreme incidents. its now put in place so that it can be used as and when required.

hope so.

social media cannot administer it own social justice than what is a social media in a cyber world.

informative and referencing only?

on one hand pushing toward a "smart" nation. On the other hand not trusting its citizen to be "smart" in filtering out unwanted and undesired news.
