Yup, sold to Skoda’s dealer. I paid 45k DP when I bought it in 2016. At least can take back some $$ to pay the new DP.

You paid a huge DP and loan lower, no wonder.  [:p]  Good to upgrade if the deal is good.

Bought at 103k, sold at 59k. Took back 17k.

Never knew the Elantra was so expensive in 2016 at $103K.

 

Today, you can get a brand new Avante (Elantra replacement) for a mere $70K.

COE at 50k, almost double for Cat A now. Last time Elantra elite got more features than the elite model now, OMV also higher.

 

Never knew the Elantra was so expensive in 2016 at $103K.

Today, you can get a brand new Avante (Elantra replacement) for a mere $70K.

Agree. No point holding on to the Elantra with high $50K+ COE.

 

Annual loss on COE alone is at least $5K.

 

Better to sell now while the paper value is high.

Cheap already, retail price hit about $150k in 2013  [crazy]. Now can buy 2 Avante

see ah, like computers, cars technically shd get cheaper versus the new tech inside over earlier generations, but...

Oct 2013 close to 90k for COE. Elantra Elite $156k retail price. Not sure how much they selling the car then.

seems like COE$ will peak at 2023? maybe even more peaker....

Coe always got ups and down de. Now is going down, confirmed it will go up again, depends which year only.
