The two A1 models depicted in these photos are the 35 TSI and 40 TSI, both in S Line trim that apparently comes with more aggressively styled bumpers, a rear diffuser, rocker panels, bigger wheels and honeycomb grille on the outside, along with sportier details inside, like the trimmings, steering wheel and seats.

At launch, the engine lineup will largely mirror its VW Polo cousin, with 116PS / 114hp 1.0-liter three-cylinder and 150PS / 148hp 1.5-liter four-cylinder turbo gasoline units. Later on, we will see a hotter S1 with a 250+ hp 2.0-liter turbo and Quattro all-wheel drive.

The A1’s dash is chock full of lines and angles (and pronounced air vents), typical of VW Group products these days. Audi’s Virtual Cockpit digital instrument panel makes its way inside the A1, as does the new haptic MMI Touch touchscreen display used on the latest A6, A7, A8 and Q8. The colorful accents around the vents suggest that the smallest member of Audi’s lineup will offer plenty of customization and personalization options.

The new A1 is built around the VW Group’s ubiquitous MQB A0 platform that  combines aluminum and hot-formed steel within the floorpan. You can expect an increase in overall length, width and wheelbase, which will result in improved interior space for rear passengers and luggage capacity.

Looks nice but as usual, locally unlikely for us to get this S line version due to the taxes so likely to be a scaled down basic version but car looks roomier compared to the outgoing model. Thks bro @carbon82 for your new car scoops as usual [thumbsup]

(edited)

Backseat legroom is really tight.

he is very tall, at least 1.8m+

he make every car back seat super tight

especially front seat adjust to his driving position

1.8m driver plus 1.8m rear passenger [laugh]

even A8 not super roomy for him

Supersonic

At first I thought is a mini Q2 due to the C pillar.

Aggressive looking but I think only the base model will sell here.

I see, he seems so awkward sitting behind. If A8 doesn’t cut it, he is not normal. :)

the rear legroom is âluxuriousâ for this angmoh ... lol

I see the difference between the videos. For the first video, the commentator adjusted the driver’s seat to suit his physique, hence the rear seat had absolutely tight legroom, fitting the identical commentator once more. The second video did more justice to A1 rear seat legroom. Overall quite a looker for a compact car. Wishing for greater transformation on the RS1

Supersonic

The front looks like a mash up of kona, i30 and one of seat’s model.

SEAT Ibiza?
