Spring Moderator August 12, 2019 Author Share August 12, 2019 He's usually the engine of attack. Spurs was trailing and struggling to score before Eriksen came on, and he provided the lift the team needed to finally break Villa down. Also, why was Son not in the team at all huh? If the manager dowan either or both or these 2, can let them go cheap or not? Eriksen is a creative player and there are not many of his kind left. Creative players are particularly required when a game gets tight and teams need a player with an eye for a pass to unlock defences. Eriksen has constantly found his front 3 esp Alli with his over the top and through passes. I’m surprised Real Madrid didnt make a bid for him n instead is obsess with Pogba. ↡ Advertisement
Spring Moderator August 12, 2019 Author Share August 12, 2019 See tua pui shouting instructions damn comical. Dunno hiao buay hiao. Give him 6 months and we'll be Atlas of tye EPL. Down down and away! Support your Toon Army leh, don’t get distracted by Bruce. To be fair, Toon played well against Gunners last night, Aubameyang is a poacher n is really fast. Think the substitution came at the wrong time so this Bruce has to take some blame but otherwise not too bad a performance. I like Almiron who can run at defences and willing to take risks n take opponents on
Spring Moderator August 12, 2019 Author Share August 12, 2019 Man C is playing tactical foul according to Pelligrini. It is an open knowledge that referees generally gave them more leeway when they "innocently" foul players outside the box.. Smelly dirty gamesmanship; nothing else to say. Last few seasons, Fernandinho is the worst culprit in this dark art. Whilst there is some truth to this, I think refs will be wise to this so doubt City can continue this since it has been mentioned. Previous season, Man United under JM persistently fouled Hazard through different players till ref warned the United Capt that the next player doing this would be yellow carded and true enough, Herrera got a yellow card which was his second and off he went! So in short, a strong n experienced ref shld be able n be wise enough to this kind of dark arts. Mind u Barca in old days were also at this despite their proclaimed, “proponents of beautiful football” tag.

Spring Moderator August 13, 2019 Author Share August 13, 2019 Would chelsea avoid a thrashing if they had not sold david luiz? Personally, I don’t think so. JM mentioned there was a huge gap between the back 6 n the front 4. They were not compact so even if they had VVD, I doubt if it would have made much diff if the team didn’t defend as a group. Compounding matters, Kante was not there to protect the defence. Anyway Luiz is good at playing the ball out of defence n his long passes to set up attacks, In these 2 areas, Chelsea missed him for sure but not for his defending, my 2 cents....

Civic2000 Supercharged August 13, 2019 Share August 13, 2019 Yes Chelsea played well despite the score line. Agreed, the line up was far too inexperienced for a match of this magnitude. Read that Chelsea’s line up average age was 25yrs which is one of the youngest amongst the teams. To be fair, Lampard was forced to field such a young team as he has quite a few players out thru injury n Willian is deemed not ready after Copa. The weeks ahead will tell whether he has the makings of an EPL Mgr. Man United’s starting XI the youngest of Premier League weekend.

Chelsea doesn’t have a consistent finisher n with Hazard having left, this could be an issue n they could struggle to remain in the top 6 esp as their defence is also not solid.

Spring Moderator August 13, 2019 Author Share August 13, 2019 I think chelsea problem is kurt zouma. he is error prone. thats why he loan out to get experience. hope he dun become another bakayoko This guy is old school defender, not the ball playing type which is so sought after these days. He looked uncomfortable playing out n misplaced some passes early on n I think this affected his confidence. He then went on to rush into a tackle on Rashford which was totally unnecessary. When Rudiger is available, he will likely make way. The high pressing by most opposing teams means u have to be quick n be confident playing in your own half which he is not.
