The current 10th generation Civic was officially unveiled on 17 September 2015, and after close to 5 years, the next gen is on the horizon. The spy shots below shown the 5 door Type R variant, which look more upright than the current gen even though it was wearing heavy cladding. More spy shots of the other variants can be expected to surface very soon. Stay tuned.

The exhaust pipe looks like an unfinished product. hahaha. I also like fastback. Practical and nice. 🙂

Wish Honda could go back to cleaner lines. Current design too busy.

I concur. Among all 10 gen of Civic, my personal preference are:

5th Generation (EG)

8th Generation (FD)

Twincharged

One item that was missing was the indivual setting for driving profile. It comes with comfort , sports and sport plus (or R plus cant remember).

But like all cars, every iteration gets heavier and dull and WLTP adds to the power loss.

I like the Civic 4th gen especially the 2 door hatchback although I did not have a driving license yet at that time.  After starting work, I had a pre-owned EG.  All civics were desirable except the 9th gen which I though was a bit regressive.

Btw, any spy shots of Odyssey?  It had been around for longer than the Civic 10th gen.

Recent Honda designs is like 画蛇添足, stuff like non functioning vents...

Then other car makes is copy until my 老花眼 cannot recognize which is which, reminds me a decade back in Hong Kong I went to some black market shops, I ask the uncle what brand is the amp, he said u want which brand I stick for you 😫  But other makes IMO they have better designs than Honda currently.

Picked out some nice Gen X Civics though...

The EG VTi was churning out 160 bhp for a 1.6l.  What a car!

At that time, very few NA cars (those in the affordable range) can match this kind of power output. The other I can think of back then was the BMW Vanos series. But it just didn't have the reliability of the VTEC.

All these global emission standards are killing all the fun machines we see in the good old days. Very soon, even 6 cylinder engines will extinct like dino.

The problem with the current generation Civic is that it’s too low n that sacrifices the rear flat floor which was a selling point for a couple of generations of Civic which is a pity.

Looking at this spy pics, I believe it will a an evolution of the current generation n hence there will be no rear flat floor again, haiz.......

I also feel FD is the best Civic ever👍
