Look nice but not practical in Singapore, NOT because of charging issue, but at most places with tight parking lots and low headroom (in MSCP), the occupants will be stuck in the car! :D:D

It is not about the car actually, but the company is trying to showcase the level of intelligence it has achieved with this model.

HiPhi X, the world's first self-learning super SUV

HiPhi X is a new generation of intelligent all-electric vehicles. Based on the Human Oriented Architecture (HOA), which is OTA (over-the-air) upgradable, HiPhi X features a secure software-developer platform to enable feature and app development.

HiPhi X is equipped with an advanced, highly-personalised onboard AI assistant, HiPhiGo, which has been developed in collaboration with Microsoft. HiPhiGo is highly sensory, with an array of intelligent functions, including a level of reasoning and continuous learning whilst interacting with its occupants, the surrounding environment and a multitude of vehicle parameters.

This new breed of self-learning smart vehicle has a "neural network" consisting of 6 "super brain" domain controllers, connected by 1G Ethernet, which provides a higher transmission rate than traditional CAN networks. HiPhi X is able to analyse massive amounts of information and make decisions utilising cloud computing with a powerful data analysis engine, which results in a truly intelligent and smart vehicle.

HiPhi X will be one of the world's leaders by offering Level 3 autonomous driving (and Level 4 Autonomous Valet Parking (AVP) system) at launch, which is supported by redundancy in all key safety-related systems. HiPhi X will be offered with rear- and all-wheel drive derivatives and will provide a 0-to-100 km/h time of 3.9 seconds. There will also be several battery options, with the largest 96 kWh unit providing a range of at least 610 km (NEDC).

The newly developed AVP delivers an advanced Level 4 autonomous driving experience based on the integration of vehicle and road-integrated technologies. Fixed sensory equipment such as lasers, radar and communications devices in parking areas can identify and track vehicle and obstacle positions, send this information via 5G to the vehicle and guide it to a safe parking space. Drivers will be able to exit their car anywhere in the parking area and leave the car to park itself autonomously. Upon returning, drivers will be able to summon the vehicle to their current location using a mobile app and drive away.

The integrated system of AVP can overcome the challenges autonomous vehicles face at underground parking lots with no GPS signal, blind spots and tight turning circles. This makes HiPhi X the industry leader in this area.

In Singapore, if you want to own this, better be able to afford a personal driver. Drop you off, then he goes and hide somewhere else with big parking space. He waits till you call him to pick from the front door. No need to bother about going up narrow HDB ramps or park in tight spaces.

I like the fancy doors on the car especially the rear passenger doors. Not only fancy looking but practical for the 3rd row seats as well. You can also adjust how much the roof opens. It has also rain sensors so that the roof will not open when it is raining. Why didnt European or Japanese car makers thought of this? Such a good design.

The car does look futuristic. But the steering wheel and logo look awful though.

To be honest, I am impressed. They have progressed ALOT in just 10 years. From copying to making features that other manufacturers have not even thought of.
