By the time it gets to TEK probably many rear drive EV will be a better option in terms of price point.. it’s such a waste that they did not bother to simplify the mx5 n just extend it to be a hatch / sedan format .. or cross market the fiat / miata engine combo

t0y0ta Supercharged July 25, 2021 Share July 25, 2021 Most of the world going electric, already And 99% of current and future car buyers on the street outside car enthu forums don't know shit about RWD or FWD, let alone what is IL4, V6 or IL6. They just look at badge, price, comfort, horsepower. I greatly admire Mazda and owned one before. However, these plans they had (which typically probably hatched 10 years ago) is called wrong time, wrong place.

Lala81 Hypersonic July 25, 2021 Share July 25, 2021 mazda is going to be a casualty of the electrification process. Not seen anything in recent years to suggest they are following the trend that almost all the japs has recognised as necessary. Subaru is probably another. But subaru has a more stronger niche in terms of their appeal for functional outdoorsy crossover/SUV.

No fear no fear, What is relevant to me is the PARF value, 10 years later I will buy one to renew COE. The look in 10 yeats time can't be lousy if now it looks rocks. 😅😅
Watwheels Supersonic July 25, 2021 Share July 25, 2021 (edited) Jaguar also did the same and aimed to be like BMW and Merc. Look at what they have become. LoL... IMO car makers should stop trying to hype up their cars especially when they have not even produce them yet.
