Theft Deterrent Chrome Valve Caps

Was introduced to this by my brother in law who's staying in the USA.

Searched a few sites on the net and the prices are all about the same unsure.gif

2 pairs @ USD$30 excluding shipping.

Think if you guys have friends overseas (Turbobrick laugh.gif ), can ask them to get and send over to save on shipping? sly.gif

One of the sites selling.. shipping charges is a real killer!

This is a set of 4 valve caps with the Mitsubishi Diamonds logo or Dodge Ram Head logo on the top and a pair of "keys" used to tighten/loosen the valve caps that can go on your keyring. You simply slide the valve cap into the key, there's a squared notch that lines up, and install the valve cap. Then slide the key off the cap. Now the chrome valve caps just turn freely - you can not remove them without the black key.

What about contacting a supplier and buy a ten thousand valve caps for 10 dollars? Then just litter a handful around your car each time you park in dangerous places.

Put in 5 dummy valve caps.

Spread on your valve cap a layer of peanut butter, thief won't steal.

Outsmart potential thieves by locking your C4 logo caps in place with Theft Deterrent Valve Stem Caps. Set of 4 custom caps arrives with 2 plastic keys, which enable you (and ONLY you) to secure and remove the caps from your valve stem, leaving would-be thieves powerless. Arrives with complete instructions. Specify chrome or aluminum finish.

now all the thieves need is just the black key... once they have it, i believe it is universal and they can continue to steal valve caps...

i think the only solution is to make the caps so cheap and available that it is pointless to steal it...

Is it the same?

You have to use a tool to open the cap.. why not settle it with a cheaper cap and use spanner to tighten it?

I'm actually tempted to buy the above valve caps.. 100 count for 15 USD or so... x2 for SGD.

However, it'll be stolen even easier, as it is shiny, but lots of extras.

Why not 'electrify' yr valve caps? Who ever touches it will receive a nasty electric shock which arms when you switch yr alarm on!

This is a permanent solution.

There's no valve cap on these valve stems.. They look good too.
