getting my corolla from BM next week

gonna get the BM contractor to install either HO or V-kool before I collect..

what do you guys suggest I go for?

also, a question about the warranty, I've read some people saying HO offers 10 year warranty, and 5 years for V-kool, but my SE said its 5 years for both?? is the warranty dependent on the contractor installing it or is my SE just misinformed?

HO is 2nd grade Vkool IMHO.

My brick is shod with Vkool Premium and works really well with the aircon especially in a hot day. Vkool can't shield your interior from the heat if parked under the sun but once U get the A/C on and moving, the vkool will block out most of the heat thus raising your A/C efficiency [;)]

have ya had any experience with HO to say that Turbobrick?

or just speculation..

anyway, spoke to the contractor for BM, (he does both vkool and HO) and said they compared the top-end for both and found performance to be similar, plus HO is ceramic-based so can last longer right?

I'm having VK premium also, like TurboBrick. Indeed the aircon will cool faster. Addition to that, if you park in the sun for short periods, you sure notice the cabin temperature is significantly lower than w/o VK. One personal comment is that if your car is in the sun for a whole day, you can't really tell the difference until you get going.

I have Vkool installed in my mondy, and the result is just great! The positive effects have already been answered in summarized form by Huggable.

If the pricing are not too much difference, go for Vkool! Just my two cents! [:)]

Yeah, go for V-kool over Huper Optik. Some other Toledo owners installed HO and kinda unhappy with it...

If doing V-kool, go to the one at East Coast...their workmanship is good.

Alternatively, anyone heard, can comment on Sumitomo Ray Barrier?

I've HO installed in my car and from the discussion read, it seems HO And VC does not defer much in that both help the car to cool down faster. And when car is parked under the sun for short period, the screening effect will be noticed but should the car be baked under the sun for long period, whether it is VC or HO, both wont serve a purpose. Prior to my installation, tried soliciting feedback from owners and general comment is that both is equally effective. With that in mind and being a practical man, I chose HO because it is the cheaper of the two. Its about a year since the installation and I've no complaint about HO. Juz sharing some thought.....
