Inconsistent Idling Speed

Hi, my friend called me last night and as usual, our conversation was filled with automotive related matters... He was telling me his sister's Astina had inconsistent idling speed and he was unable to explain it. Neither can I, so i'm seeking help from the brothers and sisters here... He mentioned that the inconsistency happens only when the air-con is on. No mods have been made to the Astina.

Frankly... it could be the "valve" problem... can't remember which valve.. but I did change that before... also bec. of fluctuating idling speed.

Switch on the headlights and other accessories and run the air con full blast. If the rpm fluctuat more seriously, chances the electrical charging system or the battery is about to retire.

Take Yeobh's advice. Always suspect the ignition system (electrical) system first.

Thanks guys! Anyway he told me the car's battery changed not long ago... Will update you guys if he tells me anything again...
