Ghostrider 3rd Gear August 3, 2004 Share August 3, 2004 Chemlube...BAGUS !! I love the oil. Very smooth till from the start till the next servicing. Dun like it cos you need to call the fella to order and he will bring it to you. Need to plan for your servicing. Sometime I don't have the time...so its like I got spare 2 hours...I will rush down to the mech to get it done. I believe now you can get it at some workshops too....like I saw it at McWell before. Kah Motor also carries it.

Vtim 3rd Gear August 3, 2004 Share August 3, 2004 used to Beswick Trading (or Marketing) & they do delivery to your door step, not too sure about now
Jacksung Neutral Newbie August 22, 2004 Share August 22, 2004 I've been using Chemlube 10W-30 for a long time. Real good oil using ester as the base stock. It has a very high viscosity index with almost no VI improvers used (esp for 10W-30). But it's certified for API SJ, not the latest SL/SM. Motul 300v is also ester-based, but it's darn ex. Sil96verman Neutral Newbie August 22, 2004 Share August 22, 2004 (edited) Yup I have used Chemlube in all my previous 3 cars & I swear by it. My first car I followed the maufacturers claim that it last 40k! I changed at 30k sometimes 40k. Very impressed with it. My 2nd & 3rd cars however I changed every 10k liao KS a bit . And of course I will be using Chemlube for my new car -10k svc. I found Chemlube to be good in morning start up ONE CRANK sure start (battery 4-5yrs old). Also I travel a bit to KL (in-laws there) Engine very smooth. No complains ....only one the delivery guy is a retiree who is unreliable & likes to bargain with regards to delivery times & destination! . I think Beswick have terminated his services . Sil96verman Neutral Newbie August 24, 2004 Share August 24, 2004 Worker, how much do your colleague sell the 10-30w?? I'm interested thanks in advance!
Worker Neutral Newbie August 26, 2004 Share August 26, 2004 He sold the 10-40 to me for $15/qt . The 10-30 should be $1 more . Stopped using Chemlube because it came in Quart rather than litres . My car needed 4 l and it was either getting 4 qt and hoping it is enough or getting 5 qt and not knowing what to do with the remainder half tin . Will check with him for the price .
