NEW YORK — Honda is recalling about 900,000 of its Odyssey minivans because the second-row seats may tip forward if not properly latched.

The recall announced Saturday covers vehicles from the 2011-17 model years. About 800,000 of the affected minivans were sold in the United States.

Honda says it has received 46 reports of minor injuries related to the issue.

 

It says the Odyssey’s second-row seat may tip forward during moderate to heavy braking if it isn’t properly latched after adjusting it side-to-side or reinstalling a removed seat.

The company is working on a way to repair the issue and says it will notify owners when one is available. It will be free. Until then, Honda has put instructions for properly latching the seat on its website for owners.

If the repair cost is indeed 5k, I would suggest you scrap the car, get back whatever rebate you can get and hop on to another second hand or new car.

when the radiator tank of my 9 year old impreza burst, I got it pulled to a workshop who found a used replacement radiator for me at $280.

I think your case is different from his.

Yours is burst and his is overheat. Engine need overhaul.

Hello Honda Fans.

 

Why do we love our Honda? 

 

Before we get to that, I had bought my first car last year and it is the 10th gen 2016 Honda Civic 2.0l. Before now, my parents had a Honda Accord 2008, 2005 Pilot and these cars were good to drive, honest about themselves, and were reliable over the years.

 

But, Honda stepped up their game with the 10th gen Civic that opened the door to endless possibilities with other of their brands.

 

People who do not know me say I am on a budget because I got a Honda while other who knew me says why a Honda and my reply was that I have always being a honest man, I need a car that can take me from A - B, a brand that I am aware of, yeah prolly a family heritage, and one I can rely on every morning to take me to work and back.

 

Back to the question. Why a Honda for you?

For sedan, Honda grace is a good buy, for compact suv, vezel hybrid is ok too. Yes, Honda has earned their right to price their cars at a premium with the success of the civic.

So far I drove Ford Focus, Suzuki swift, Hyundai Accent, and now stream RN6. I must say that Honda engine has been very reliable and trusty. Engine is good and has served me well for past 9 yrs plus. I am sad that I have to scrap it in May 2018. A pity.

Dont think the city selling now is brand new model, it is just a facelifted model.
