Galactus 1st Gear December 21, 2004 Share December 21, 2004 Hi All, I have a problem. Just change my Chevy Aveo rims to 15" plus Michelin Pilot Preceda. Now, when I hit above 80K/hrs on the road, my steering wheels start to vibrate... It was ok before the change. Anyone can advise??? ↡ Advertisement

Turbobrick Neutral Newbie December 21, 2004 Share December 21, 2004 Balance is totally out, have the shop do it till the vibe is gone. Technically they shouldn't charge you to rebalance since they didn't do it right the first time. Over here in the US most major tire stores offers lifetime balancing so FOC for the life of the tire or car ownership, shiok

Magix73 Neutral Newbie December 21, 2004 Share December 21, 2004 (edited) u shall ask them to do on wheel balancing. no point keep doing off wheel balancing if the problem still the same. take note when u change rims is better to check weather they have put in centre ring for u anot. Elfenstar 3rd Gear December 22, 2004 Share December 22, 2004 Try taking it to south east tyres in ubi. they are really really good. I had a similar prob with my previous car, and even after balancing 3 times the shop couldnt fix it. then a long while later, i went to south east for nitro gassing (it was new then) and machine the lip. When they rebalanced the wheels and it was perfect!!!
