Spanish publication Motor.es has received some additional information about the upcoming more extreme BMW M2 CS. It is set to be launched early next year.

In the article, the more potent version of the well-acclaimed M2 is rumored to use the twin-turbo six of the M4, detuned to output around 400bhp.

Buyers who want one will have to be on alert when the order books open as the amount of cars available for sale is only limited to 1,000 units. In comparison, the M4 CS has a production cap of 3,000 units.

As of now, it is unclear what transmission the car will be paired with.
