There are times when you're coming back from work or just had a really late night and you're heading home where you might feel that you're drifting off to sleep on the road, and you've tried all the different methods of trying to stay awake like blasting the music on your radio or drinking gallons of coffee while at the wheel. None of them work, but maybe this can!

Its called the Anti Sleep Pilot and it monitors your driving patterns by using a built in accelerometer. In addition, it constantly gives you a reaction tests of some sort to test your reaction times. It will emit a sound and turn orange and that's where you, the driver, comes in. You're supposed to smack it as fast as you can and the longer your reaction time, the more 'concerned' it gets and it will glow red, instructing you to pull over and take a break. Frankly, if I was feeling tired, I wouldn't even bother about the glowing orange or the red lights. And for US$250, I barely think its worth the price! Its creator, Troels Palshof from Denmark said that it was an incident that occurred to him while driving that led him to creating this product so I presume this helps him stay awake.

The implications of driving while falling asleep even momentarily are extremely severe. The AAA Foundation for Traffic Safety says that one in six fatal accidents involves a sleepy driver

The bad news:

Do seek medical advice (I believe you could be having Type 2 Diabetes)

Which made me ponder: Just how far can you actually get away from everything?  Well, the question has two answers.  The actual most remote point on Earth is called Point Nemo. Situated roughyl 2,688km from the nearest piece of land, it is known as the oceanic point of inaccessibili
