Springs should wear better that your dampers. How old are your springs? Its going to take a fair bit of wear to screw your springs...unless they are cut or very old.

"think my suspension got problems.."

Can you describe the "problem"?

hi,

my springs also 2nd hand before.. so think now shld be abt 3 yrs + old already.. but not cut..

my absorbers are yellow koni, changed about 6 months ago..

when i have passengers in my rear, my tires will hit the arc of the car (sorry, i dont know how to describe) and will have the tire rubbing against the metal arc sound..

i also have rattling sounds coming from my car's rear and it kinda sounded "noisy" at times when driving..

im just wondering is it the spring problem or wat..

your springs are red or black?

and your koni's are "allen key" adjustable or it comes with a key for u to adjust the damping?

what size are your rear tyres?

and how many passengers of what weight are behind your backseat?

do u keep anything else besides the spare tyre in your boot? what's the avg weight of them?

need to clarify these before we can suggest what u should do to your suspension/ride..

hi,

mine is vogtland springs, red in colour..

my koni are the allen key adjustable..

already adjusted till very hard..

tyres 14in r65

just 2 adult passengers..

took out the spare tyre in my boot already..

so nothing really heavy inside my boot..

thanks

did u compress your koni's fully before tightening it with allen key? or did u just turn the knob as it is all the way?

if u did the latter, i think ur absorber is gone for good..

Yup, they might be gone for good. used to run on a secondhand koni yellows as well...shakehead.gif

My theory, if you're keeping the car, spend a little now and save alot in the longrun. Thet's the risk with used items, especialy moving items.

My shocks and springs are brand new and have been using them for 1.5 years.

brand koni sport(yellow) are reali good, i been using for 1.5 yrs,

before tat also have that rubbing tires impact at rear, after i change to koni,

can clear hump and bump easliy...i have the same setup as well, r14 65

i think ur koni shou be okie if they are 1st hand,

shou be spring , if not there may be more hidden prob [confused]

voglant springs should be same height or higher than the red hotbits/apex sport springs, and the general spring rate of these should be around 6.8kg/mm

alright bro, finally got your answer, i forgot to add on; did u fully tighten? by right u're not supposed to also.

1. compress fully and lock

2. fully tighten with allen key

3. counter-clockwise a full 360
