Dimonwind Neutral Newbie May 15, 2003 Share May 15, 2003 ATF Changer is an equipment to change oil automatically, unlike perviously used manual work... able to diagnose the state of transmission of an automotive automatically by measuring oil pressure by ATF oil changing range due to self-purifying function to wash out without changing transmission oil of an automotive, it has high durability ATF always keeps the environment clean by not discharging oil outside safety equipment installed inside the changer does not make any problem even when the operator makes a mistake. Car_guru Neutral Newbie May 16, 2003 Share May 16, 2003 (edited) Other than lubrication purposes, the ATF is used in the torque converter to transmit the power from the engine flywheel to the transmission... the ATF is used for the hydraulic transmission systems as well... so the ATF is pretty important to the transmission, and it must be changed/flushed at regular intervals. Usually, a manual car would need 2-3 litres of MTF but an auto car will need 7 litres or more ATF because of the above reasons...
