Hi Ladies and Gentlemen, lately I find lesser and lesser people going to market to buy groceries. So I was wondering,if it will be good to have E-marketing,where people just place order online or just dial a number/sms to place their order. With a small sum of delivery fee,I can arrange for delivery to their place.Purchase ubove certain amount, the delivery fee will be waived. How is this idea?Hope you guys can put up some suggestion. Thanks in advance!

FYI, this "idea" is more than 50 years old. Ppl have been doing it even before Singapore gained independence. My grandpa owned a provision shop and my dad told me he used to help him do such deliveries on bicycle in his younger days during pre-war times. And now there are many online shops which offer such services as well. See for yourself:

And more here: http://www.sgsmallbiz.com/Food_Industry/Grocery/

Even the major supermarket chains offer such services:

So ya, this idea works for sure, if not it will not survive for 50 years. All the best to your venture! [thumbsup]
