Can anyone share with us what is the usefulness of having this in our "E" engine???

it allows you to advance/retard valve timing. (not to be confused with ignition timing). it adjusts how early/late the inlet/exhaust valves open/close.

Thanks Guan for thinking of your fellow bros. I just bought a NST Crank Pulley from ebay (see pic and link). Are they the same thing?? Not sure if Crank Pulley and Cam pulley are the same hehe. If not, I'd like to tumpang on you for one of those adjustable pulley's too. Tks dude!

Hi bro, I believe they are two different things. Adjustable cam pulley (located at engine head) is to adjust the camshaft that eventually adjust the timing for the opening and closing of valves (intake & exhaust).

 

However lighten crank pulley is located at the engine block which is connected by belt to the cam pulley at the engine head.

 

Hope our seniors here can clarify on my explanation .....

ps. I just installed lightened Crank pulley can feel only v slightly more power on low end acceleration :)
