My impression is the Android Auto is only possible via wire? Bluetooth is purely for phone calls. Don't think the Google Maps and other apps works through BT. I have not got my car yet so cannot confirm. Anyone?

 

Rather than use a thumbdrive, why not just just spotify? There is always the free tier, if you don't want to pay 

Bro, If you got EX model,plug in cable and auto activate bluetooth via android auto. then can use voice navigation. If you getting SX model the bluetooth will auto activate when connected to android auto. Can use voice navigation, calls etc. If you using android phone make sure you switch of power saving mode of the phone is not powerful enough to activate the infotainment system on the car, pls note the cable you use must be original or can do quick data transfer.

Messages coming in via whatsapp ect can be played via voice while driving and can reply via voice too. Problem is a lot of places the data connection seems to be bad while driving.

Oh, I didn't know there's difference in the HU for EX and SX. Thought both are the same model? Only L previously had the basic one, before they changed to the same 8" touchscreen recently.

Hi, I'm new to this forum. Current car reaching the 10 years mark already, so booked the EX trim last weekend. Nego with the SE and he swapped the Thinkware to a Blackvue DR590-2CH for free. This is 2 channels but do not have WIFI access. Basic unit but at least both front and back monitored.

 

Thinking of modding to be able to film while parking, but not sure what is the cost and options available. Will be collecting the car in about 3 months time, so still have some time to check it out.

My advice is to take Cellink Neo can prolong your battery lifespan which also costly. Power magic pro is cheaper option but car battery will kaput in 1 year time. I am currently using Power magic pro, have changed car battery twice for 2 years.

I already took my ride on Feb. Gravity Blue EX.

Heard from my SE, for those popular colors like white or red might need to wait till SEP.

My advice is to take Cellink Neo can prolong your battery lifespan which also costly. Power magic pro is cheaper option but car battery will kaput in 1 year time. I am currently using Power magic pro, have changed car battery twice for 2 years. 

Can check what's your driving pattern? Like usually park continuously for how long before driving for how long? Like my routine is about an hour in the morning, 30 mins lunchtime drive and an hour evening drive, then park for about 11 hours overnight. I usually change battery between 18-24 months. So if the battery can still last the same 1.2-2 years with the power magic pro, it's still quite a big saving over the lifetime of the camera.

 

BTW, mine's a Gravity Blue EX like yours

Anyone manage to get white SX in the past week? I booked my SX on 7-Apr and my SE told me no more white and red so I opt for a black SX. SE told me white n red not in production anymore

I booked my SX pearl white on 9 March. No news of shipment yet. Was told by my SE when booking that there’s only 2 pearl white left for production. Initiallly wanted the red but not in production anymore. I still waiting for shipment.

Red not in Production? I think your SE is joking. I’ve collected my Red SX 10 days ago. Waited 4 months after upgrading my order to SX

 

They do have a lot a backlog for certain colours, and surely (very) long waiting times, But they are still in production

I also got my COE last week, and SE told me will register the car 1st week of May. Booked the car mid-March. Maybe mine is faster because it is an Gravity Blue Ex, lesser demand. Call yours up and ask.

I booked a Red EX early October and secured my COE October first round. Upgraded to SX first week of December. My SE assured me that I would got the car before COE lapse and we just got it on time. I’m sure they monitor the COE dates closely to make sure your car is registered on time. COE lapse after 6 months if you don’t register a car

I booked in Gravity Blue SX on 27 Mar. Secured COE on 3 Apr. I remember SE did mention those hot colors like Red / White might need to wait longer... I believe both are still in production.
