Madarmour Neutral Newbie July 20, 2002 Share July 20, 2002 Where do I find natural sponge for car washing? I've tried 2-3 Body Shops but the best they've got are authentic looking man-made ones .. Isn't natural sponge abrasive? Do check or you may have to deal with scratches on your car post washing! Natural sponge good for the body as it's abrasiveness help to remove unhealthy and dead surface skin, which in turn stimulates new skin to grow. Our car paintwork does not have this regenerative ability!

Ilmw 1st Gear July 27, 2002 Author Share July 27, 2002 Natural sponge (looks like below) avail for $31 @ L'Occitane #B1-13 CityLink Mall.
Madarmour Neutral Newbie July 27, 2002 Share July 27, 2002 This one looks soft. Not those cucumber-like natural sponge I had seen. Those are fibrous, which is good for exfoliating the skin but certainly not for car! Well, keep us informed of your progress. I use 'Good morning' face towel to wash my car and dry it with chamois. Turbobrick Neutral Newbie July 28, 2002 Share July 28, 2002 I suggest getting a wash mitt from ACE Hardware store in Novena Square. It's has long fibres which lifts off dirt well and it's $8 each.

Turbobrick Neutral Newbie July 28, 2002 Share July 28, 2002 Go Novena and find lah, but maybe out of stock there too.....
Ilmw 1st Gear July 28, 2002 Author Share July 28, 2002 (edited) Yes, I bought that too, from ACE in Novena. However, it doesn't really feel soft, even when wet, and while it can be used to wash cars, it doesn't explicitly say it doesn't scratch (unlike 3M products). I got the natural sponge just to be safe .. The wash mitt from ACE is from Acme Sponge & Chamois Co., Inc. Tarpon Springs, FL.
