Dont know your name but did mentioned the posting. Anyway, i am more impressed by the installer - very friendly and knowledgable. Not many like him around - most just do to complete the job only.

Go to this shop call singtech, i am using their 2 way alarm system, STW 800. It not bad, and can adjust sensitivity and it quite cheap. Here is the link :

i am using the LED pager, its cheap bc its using LED and not the LCD ones. Try it, i have been using it for almost 2 mths and i think its pretty good for the price. And i think its the cheapest 2 way pager alarm in singapore and asia. After sales is excellent. And it doesnt have remote starting which you are looking for.

How much does it cost including installation??

It $250 inclusive of installation and GST and also 1 year warranty. I think its good enough and the range (distance) is similar to the more expensive ones in the market. So far its gave me no problem and the aftersales is good too. Made in singapore product.

HI

with your experience, hows the range for these 2 way systems ?

Have you tested the paging eg. if on 10th floor apartment and car is in MSCP or open carpark, can you receive the page ?

How about sensitivity, does it go off by itself and annoy everyone when there is a thunderstorm etc ?

Thanks,..

hee hee.... good question... [thumbsup]

I live on the 10th floor and my car is parked in the basement carpark. If cannot receive the page, then there is no point paying the $$$..... [shakehead]

Coincidentally, I too resides on the 10th floor and m car is parked directly below my block (ground floor). I can receive the pages. Anyway, the alarm also allows user to check status and signal anytime.

The range is not bad on open air environment. I am staying on the 10 storey and i park in open air carpark but not directly downstairs. And i can receive the signal with no problem. I have tried checking status inside lift and it can still rec. At my gf house, which has mulitstorey cp and there is a blk of flat blocking her apartment from the MSCP, i cant rec the signal from her place but once i reach the voiddeck downstairs i can rec.

As for sensitivity, there are 2 senors, the interior and the body sensor. I found the body sensor a tend too sensitive, when i give a medium tap on the front fender, it will sound off and also that during my reservist, when fighter planes fly by , it will go off. So i set the level to level 3 and after that it was ok, no moew sounding when planes fly by and when i tap it does sound off. The alarm has 8 level of sensitivity.
