Rodmansakura Neutral Newbie January 23, 2007 Share January 23, 2007 yup my rear are koni sport, front are tokico, spring are original type, no lowering springs for me yet!!! personally experience, i felt my ride can tahan veri heavy load over, can speed over hump, or uneven road wifout feeling the impact. the car is able to maintain some level of balance, my gf's lancer has that problem over hump, coz her car shock absorber is a stock, soft type! everytime rear got ppl, have to go very slow over hump, coz may get the knock impact on the ride, but other than that, her lancer vwei stable & solid during cornering compare to my starlet. that's how i know about the importance of having a good set of shock
Satinepink Neutral Newbie January 23, 2007 Share January 23, 2007 you mentioned that the rear can adjust height isit? How's that done?
Rodmansakura Neutral Newbie January 23, 2007 Share January 23, 2007 i tink by default, before u installed it, have to adjusted to the height u wan, after tat cant liao, coz tink can be "re-adjusted" what i did was to have 2 ring slot cutted on the shock absorber, so tat if i were to allow it next time, it can be done, for more information, can check wif sabre
Emperor Clutched January 31, 2007 Share January 31, 2007 Hey Rod, since we're at the topic of suspensions... The other day I took the CTE from OG, the one at the subordinate court with my current ride. As I was going into the series of bends I realised that the set-up was different compared to my previous ones and the bend that enters the tunnel, it was reeeeeaaally sweeeeeet!!! Originally my car would roll just going at 60km/h at that bend but with the current shocks it was alot safer and smoother! All thanks to the Starlet bro's! If I didnt take their advise, I wouldnt be able to do that!
Satinepink Neutral Newbie January 31, 2007 Share January 31, 2007 hehehe, one of my fav bends as well. Down to 3rd and floor the sucker! Safety first tho' Like what Genie once said...there's more to the performance of the car than just the engine.
Rodmansakura Neutral Newbie January 31, 2007 Share January 31, 2007 wah, u do 60km/h on that S bend from OG into CTE tunnel i try 50km/h the most, have to reali steer veri FAST!!!
Emperor Clutched February 1, 2007 Share February 1, 2007 if you get used to it it wont seem that fast actually.... its very safe with a good set of suspensions!! Trust me on this one!! Sometimes products like these increase safety features of the car!!
