Life Span Of HKS Power Filter

Hi Guys,

 

I just got the HKS Power Filter for my drive but it did not state how long the filter can last on the box. According to the guy at the shop, he said it's able to last 30k-40k mileage.

 

Is that accurate? Can this filter be washed with water when I want to clean it?

is this is the same as my K&N then you probably need some kind of cleaning kit. anyway when it's time to wash it, i'd probably get a new one, like almost 2 years...

You should probably be asking how long your MAF and throttle valve will last.

I think fair enough to say after 60k throw away.

 

The properties may not be as good as new and after many washing etc, there will be wear and tear. Less powerful as before.

 

Anyway, change a new one will also give you better fuel economy and power. Cost-benefit is better?

You are not supposed to wash yr HKS filter!
