Right-Turn Pockets at Cross Junctions.

Dear all,

 

Want to verify that :

If there is no "Right Turn" pocket markings on the floor at Cross junctions, we are not allowed to wait beyond the stop line until the "Green" arrow appears?

 

Heard that a relative got fined because he crossed the stop line at a cross junction while waiting to turn right. The "Green Light" was ON but the "Green Arrow" was OFF.

Think u could ask your relative to try appealing... so far I only know such a traffic junction along Henderson road....

Some traffic lights have a RAG right turn light. In this case, you are not allowed to go beyond the white line when the light is red. In your relative's case where there's no pocket, you are also not allowed to go beyond the white line but everyone (including me) does that. Quite suay I must say.
