Hi,

I need help on this...

Currently, I have a 6-ch Velocity VR6000 amp. I have the habit of not switching off the HU when turning off the engine.

How can I protect the battery when I start the engine?

Recently, I do have some problem starting my engine...is my battery spoilt?

Will installing the following solve my problem?

Capacitor 1 or 2 farad?

Pivot Voltage Stablizer

Pivot Sound-voltage Stablizer

Hot Imazar?

Thanks a lot

You should turn off all electrical (Aircons and Amps) before shutting off your engine.

Caps, Pivots and HOT Imazar will not resolve these.

If you have starting problem, check the starter or get a simple battery tester.

Those who has these installed care to comments? Thanks.

Hi,

You need to find out why your car is not starting properly.

These are the usage of what you've indicated:

Capacitor:

I've fixed one from Cadence 1Farad before. Its good for Subwoofers. In fact, it needs to be consistently charged from battery or attenuator. It needs to maintain the charges so that when required, the amp can use its "additional" supply if the battery does not recover its charge fast enough causing a dip in electrical strength. This should help if you have blinking lights when you are listening to tracks with loads of bass.

Pivot/Imara:

These are what you cal Volt-Stab.

I feel that these are still capacitors. They does almost the same as the ICE cap except that this meant for the whole car electrical system then Cap for the ICE only. I've fixed Pivot. But seriously, no effect leh....

In fact, both will drain your batt/attenuator more as everytime it discharges, you need to charge it back....

Best is to get good batteries (Optima Red Tops?) like the deep cycle ones.

Thanks.

Would like to know if maintenance-free batt is really maintenance free?? Dont have to bother at all?

Yep... something like that.. :)

Don't need the battery water as its totally sealed up.

I think Varta is quite popular. Something like Nickel free ... cannot remember...

I would really recommend Optima as I've used it before.. really good, especially for ICE.
