Recently switched from Esso95 to Shell95 to test its Fuelsave ability but found that I could pump Esso98 for the same price (almost).
Shell 95 = $2.15 before discount - after 10% onsite discount with 5% rebate using UOB One Card = $1.827 after discount
Esso 98 = $2.26 before discount - after 14% onsite discount with 4.5% rebate using Citibank Dividend MasterCard = $1.841 after discount
So effectively I pay only an extra 1.4 cents per litre to pump Esso 98 over Shell 95.
Any comments?
Prices above not taking into consideration converting Esso Smiles and Shell rewards points for petrol, which Esso's 750 points for $30 petrol voucher is more worth than Shell's 300 points for $10 petrol voucher
