Daihatsu Tanto Daihatsu introduced its new Tanto to the domestic market. The car was previewed as a concept at the recent Tokyo Motor Show. Tanto, which is Italian for plenty is based on the Move and offers plenty of space in a package which is only 3.4 meter long. The cabin length is 2000 mm. By dropping the floor level and grabbing 1330 mm of cabin height, there is enough space for the children to stand up and walk. The doors open virtually 90 degrees. Daihatsu's 3-cylinder 659 cc TOPAZ engine powers the new miniwagon. There's a turbo version with a max power of 64 bhp at 6400 rpm. OH WOW! Safety equipment includes dual airbags, pre-tensioner, ISOFIX child seat. Options include Toyota's G-Book info system.
