General Motors is beefing up its senior management at Cadillac with the creation of a new position called global vice president. Taking on the new role is GM senior executive, Robert Ferguson. He shall be responsible for marketing, brand management and advertising for Cadillac in markets around the world. Mr Ferguson will report directly to GM chairman and chief executive Daniel Akerson.
"I'm excited to join a talented team during a period of revitalized growth," said Ferguson. He added that the Cadillac brand needs a new flagship model,
