blogentry-133713-0-66597000-1441330828_thumb.pngCan money buy you skills to race? We are afraid the answer is no after watching these gentlemen treat their Ferrari 458 Challenge race cars like bumper cars.

For those who have not heard about the Ferrari Challenge series, it is basically gentlemen race series where the affluent can get a chance to become a racing driver and race on circuits around the world. Entering the series will also mean you will be provided a racetrack-only Ferrari 458 Challenge car which is only slightly slower than Ferrari's FXX around Fiorano test track and a team of engineers/mechanics that will sort out your car for you.

Sadly, all that money won't necessarily make you a good sporting racing driver. Watch the video from the seven minute mark to see what we mean.

True, money doesn't buy you skill.

But it does buy you the good humour to be able to laugh a totalled Ferrari off.

One should be gentlemanly on the roads.

But on the tracks, its all about becoming Champion.

This is not about becoming Champion. This is about not being a complete goondu (which some of these guys are).

  • Japan: The trend that became a turn-off

Ahh Japan. The destination that many travellers desire. The perennial trending subject on social media. Japanese cuisine, culture, quirks, technology, and everything kawaii have inspired endless posts, stories, reels, YouTube videos, and TikToks. If one didn't know better, you'd think it was the dream destination on this planet. While I love the food, the service and the shopping, the sheer number of tourists (me included) has become a turn-off. I'm not talking about those who inconven

Journey to the West: First Steps in Southwestern China, Pt. 1

It used to be that when a person was visiting China for the first time, the natural choice was Beijing. No better way to learn about a country than a visit to its capital, amirite? Having had their fill of Peking duck and climbed the Great Wall of China, the next places they would likely look at are those on the east coast - Shanghai, Nanjing, perhaps Harbin. In recent times though, the southwestern parts of China have gotten much coverage on social media. Chongqing, the country’s largest c

Less caffeine leads to more dreams

There's nothing like a double espresso to kickstart your morning, especially if it's extracted from medium- or dark-roasted beans. What a tasty way to begin the day. I enjoy coffee, but I'm not a caffeine addict so it's not a must for me to consume. In fact, lately, I've only been drinking it once or twice a week - doing this ensures that when I do drink it (to power my way through a hectic day), the caffeine kick will be well and truly felt. I did not stop drinking coffee thrice a day

The fun in collecting postcards without (really ever) sending them

I believe I may not be alone when I say that I’m quite the avid collector of postcards, but rarely ever send them out to family or friends. To some, this might seem counterintuitive, even wasteful. But for me, these miniature works of art serve a different purpose. They're windows into distant lands; time capsules of bygone eras; and conversation starters par excellence. In fact, in a city as fast-paced as Singapore, where our lives often revolve around our vehicles and the next destination
