Turbobrick Neutral Newbie April 12, 2002 Author Share April 12, 2002 Yeah, Vkool a "mod" all gender and ages can enjoy!
Madarmour Neutral Newbie April 13, 2002 Share April 13, 2002 My wifey share the same sentiments too! She frowned on all other mods!
Carbine Neutral Newbie April 15, 2002 Share April 15, 2002 My front windscreen Vkool is one piece. Only the rear screen is joint in the center horizontally. Not obvious at all. Does it mean that one piece is more X than two pieces? What's the rationale for installing 2 instead of 1?
Mondeo Neutral Newbie April 15, 2002 Share April 15, 2002 They are selling like diamond business, U tell me which one is more exp : a whole piece or break into two pieces of Diamond
Carbine Neutral Newbie April 15, 2002 Share April 15, 2002 Actually hor, 1 whole piece of diamond is not necessarily more X than 2 pcs of diamond. It depends on the 4 Cs: clarity, color, cut and carat weight. But I get your idea.
Turbobrick Neutral Newbie April 15, 2002 Author Share April 15, 2002 I believe the rational behind the two pieces for the rear is due to the demister wires, they have to install separate due to some hinderance of the ridges along the wires.
Ghostrider 3rd Gear April 15, 2002 Share April 15, 2002 The bad thing is....not all wallet can agree !!
Ghostrider 3rd Gear April 15, 2002 Share April 15, 2002 Ya balls...while during courtship....brought her to PG to see racing and see said dangerous...so cannot race....and she hates sitting in my car (Mit Lancer) as she complains that its too darn uncomfortable !!! (Running coilovers). She thought that Lancers all also like that one until she sat in her friend's Lancer and realised that it was me that was behind all the uncomfortable setting !! he he he he So now what ever mods I do will be under the table...cannot let here know !! Especially my ICE mods !! If she sees the bill....I am one dead duck !!
Huggable Clutched April 15, 2002 Share April 15, 2002 It's the same price. The installer told me that if the windscreen is too curved, they will not be able to install a single piece. My front windscreen is also having 1 piece only. Rear has been sliced many times horizontally, like Turbobrick. The cutting lines are at the deminister strips. My front windscreen Vkool is one piece. Only the rear screen is joint in the center horizontally. Not obvious at all. Does it mean that one piece is more X than two pieces? What's the rationale for installing 2 instead of 1? Ghostrider 3rd Gear April 15, 2002 Share April 15, 2002 Actually depending on how long you keep the car. For my car, the VKool actually came as a freebie so I ain't gonna complain too much as I know that I will keep the car for a while. If I know that I am going to drive for a while only, I will not blow close to 1K on something that I cannot take back. But have to frank, althought it cost quite a fair bit, but the comfort is well worth it. If Vkool can lower their package a little bit more...then its more worth while. Maybe about 700 - 800 would be nice.
Turbobrick Neutral Newbie April 15, 2002 Author Share April 15, 2002 Yeah, must put every mod cost as part of the yearly depreciation of our cars
Sparetyre Neutral Newbie April 15, 2002 Share April 15, 2002 I am sure this is nothing compared to your ICE.....
Ghostrider 3rd Gear April 16, 2002 Share April 16, 2002 If mods to the engine have to consider carefully lor....if not no bang for buck !! Imagine you blow 10 grand liao and drive for only 1 yrs then change car and have to start all over again.....
Ghostrider 3rd Gear April 16, 2002 Share April 16, 2002 Ahhh....ICE mods are good....cos you can take them out when you sell the car !!! I have been doing that for a very long time liao...if not this silly hobby of mine would have broke my wallet long time ago !! Come to think of it.....1K can do quite a fair bit to the ICE system you know !! Especially when you system is stock.
Turbobrick Neutral Newbie April 16, 2002 Author Share April 16, 2002 Either that or if the mods can cannibalise to another kakis car still not so heartache
Sparetyre Neutral Newbie April 16, 2002 Share April 16, 2002 HeeHee... At least that's what I told myself when I installed my first entry level ICE... Hopefully can checkout your system during one of the meetups... ↡ Advertisement
