Xiaogary Neutral Newbie December 16, 2005 Share December 16, 2005 (edited) Got install Voltage Stabiliser and do CAI and open pod filter? My aveo use to always use 1st gear to climb MSCP also. I am also very annoyed by that, how come need to use 1st gear. 2nd gear like engine want to die off like that. Then after adding voltage stabiliser and do CAI and open pod filter. The torque at low end improve maybe bcos more air is rushing in, last time too restrictive, step petrol also no use, not enuf air to burn them so no power. Now 2nd gear up MSCP relax. And the funny thing with aveo is, with 2nd gear, the engine will not die on a flat road or with mild slope. Those aveo owner u try ur self. 1st to 2nd gear, then release accelerator, and everything, let it roll, dont step anything. It will roll forever like the ECU auto supply petrol to keep it running. But the speed is very slow la. I only do it in my carpark when no car is behind me. Save petrol and brake pads since dont need to brake so much at humps. Bo bian, NTU like to built humps, a single trip of less 1km from main gate to main spine encounters at least 20+ humps. Then sometimes parking no lots, one round in the carpark abt 8-10 humps. So just let it roll lo...never step petrol at 2nd gear. Edited December 16, 2005 by Xiaogary

So just let it roll lo...never step petrol at 2nd gear. huh.. haha why ask swiftie ppl bout chevy yup.. have VS, CAI (sort of) n open pod in my ride.. seems like the standard 'upgrade' climb slopes most of the time have to use first gear, those gentle ones can use second but can feel that loading up the engine lo. prob cos in swift, the 2nd gear ratio has quite a gap between the first. 2nd gear above is like that.. after shift, release clutch the car will move by itself with all legs off, provided that u're in that gear's speed range, cos the engine is connected already and something has to move first also can but for mine not so smooth, will jerk jerk. wah... with so many humps if u get a lowered car will sit till backside pain... hate going to cp with lots of humps also, esp those with the smaller, sharper kind i think lots of hump will wear the suspensions out faster... next time park at the place wif least humps, walk abit better than feeling pain for ur car
