Skoder Neutral Newbie November 2, 2005 Author Share November 2, 2005 Thks Genie47, your profound knowledge and wisdom have always inspire me to dump the warranty and excercise diligence to ponder on more technical aspect of our cars. It has always been the lack of the above, therefore more $ poured to the stealership for some works which doesn't justify at all.
Xiaogary Neutral Newbie November 2, 2005 Share November 2, 2005 Bro, i suggest u to get those heat resistance piping to change from your exisiting aluminium piping. Aluminium flexible piping will tear off during prolong time, hence more adviable to use those heat resistance piping. anyway still a good job done Actually this silver aluminium pipe is quite good in reflecting heat. Those soft rubber type of hose is black color and absorb a lot of heat. Used to use that, but cannot achieve very good result especially during hot afternoon. After change to this silver pipes, my day driving is very much similar to night driving with cooler air. Those black pipes are too hot. This can reflect heat better. Thats why those modified car always use those hard shiny silver pipes for their cold air intake or turbo intercooler pipings.

Skoder Neutral Newbie November 9, 2005 Author Share November 9, 2005 Ok, the FC sux big time for this setup after 3 tanks full.... now is 10.5km/l... use to be 11km/l....As a matter of fact I change to 2nd and 3rd gear at 2.2k rpm... 4th at 2.8-2.9k rpm.... pick up seems slower... despite the throttle is responsive.... Maybe maybe it is due to the new 10W50 engine oil and they have changed the tranny oil.....

Tann Clutched November 12, 2005 Share November 12, 2005 TBI Grounding Anybody ground the Throttle Body, I ve try it bad the result is Good & Bad .> YY ?? 1. Good > When step on your Throttle is lighter, engine quieter and smooth 2. Bad > When you REV up the slope is sluggish(like our original condition without MOD) ahve to press very hard and it comsump more petrol cos its not so reponsive . ** I shift that Throttle to other position seem OK. Benboy78 Neutral Newbie April 4, 2006 Share April 4, 2006 Bro, i'm also not very technically knowledgeable in this The concept is like for open pod filters, it will improve your mid to high end but will cause your low end to slightly suffer By doing up a proper shield for the open pod would help to reduce hot air being sucked in and hence would help up not to lose your low end too much If i'm sala, don't hamtum me ok Maybe, some other bros who are into open pod can comment AGREE 101% More Air = more fuel = POWER More Fuel = More Power = pocket in a hole

Bluechevy Neutral Newbie October 30, 2006 Share October 30, 2006 Hi Xiaogary and Guys, I'm new to this forum. Xiaogary, your FC improvement is really impressive. I'm only managing 11.5lk/litre with my stock filter set up at best(50% city driving). Which workshop did you go to get your mod done. $220 seens really worth it for the FC improvement, sure would like to give it a go.
