True. nod.gif

The actual capacity of the tank is usually 10-15% bigger than the published capacity. e.g. a 60L tank will be able to hold around 66-70L or so.

Yes, I feel the loss of power whenever I pump JB Caltex 97RON..... that is when there is a causeway jam and its madness to go find the Shell station to pump V-Power, then rejoin the queue. Caltex is the closest and most convenient then.....

not sure how true this is, but i've experienced that i can actually squeeze in 35L even though the fuel gauge of my car indicates that it's actually half full (my car has a 60L tank) [:p]

waste the few drips of JB V-Power.... still ok lar..... already gained from exchange rate.

If you've noticed in JB stations, they never charge you for the odd cents...

eg. pump in RM$10.53, they will take RM$10.50. even if its 4 cents.... they will forego it.....

so if you wanna gain that few cents.... then always pump to the most benefiting figure.....

ooops... did I just open the floodgates for uglier singaporeans?

errr.... nope, I just rock my car when it is filled near to the brim.... Then can see the petrol level recede.... can still go in about 0.75 ltr from that point.

Shell Petrol pump nozzles autocut seem to be incorrect ... I can squeeze in at least another 5 L into my 50L tank after the nozzle autocut itself ... Went caltex and can manage to squeeze 1-2 L more.

If your fuel tank is big.... even pumping in JB going in at the 3/4 mark can mean substantial savings. Average of say $1/ltr saving.... pump 20 ltr = Sing $20 savings....

To pump 20litres into 1/4 tank, you will need a 80litre tank. It must be a truck. laugh.gif

I can squeeze in 24 liters, and I don't drive a truck with a 100 liter tank.

Full tank only rated at 55 liters. [laugh]
