U can connect to any place which u wish to know the voltage. Just one wire to the grounding (any nut on the chasis), the other to the place u want to measure the voltage.

ic ic thanks man...so for ICE purposes where is the best place to monitor the voltage?

Across the amps, battery or somewhere else ?

Should be across amp/batt/capacitor, so that u know how many voltage ur amp is being supplied now.

For my case, my capacitor which is connected to my battery and monoblock amp (powering thw subwoofer) already have a voltage indicator, so I use my rodek voltmeter to monitor my HU's voltage supply since I duno the wiring harness come from where in the car which is supplying the HU. Also put inside cabin can monitor the voltage, as I have a lot of additional device gadget which may use up my battery, so that can serve as a warning.

The worst consuming power one is my 100/90w headlight bulbs, whenever on for very long in traffic jam, from 13.8V (idling, everything off except engine) will drop until 12.1V if i use ICE, aircon, cathode lamp, cigarlighter, mini bar fridge all on together. So when it drop so low, I will off my ICE and let my battery charge up first.

Yeah...u got it right. I bought at Sim Lim Square those computer shop also.

But there sell various price, some sell $28, some sell $29, some $30+. I bought the $28 one with 2 cathode tube and a power control and sound sensitive module.

Each sound sensitive module can only connect to 2 tube. So even if u need more tubes which are available at $9.90 per tube, u need to make sure u have enuf power supply module and sound sensitive module.

There are cheaper ones around, single tube with power module only $10+ but no sound sensitive module.

U so free ah, dont need to work?

Here I go...

Carried on to add my Cathode Lamp at my rear flooring. Similarly, bought a set of Sound Sensitive Cathode Tube set.

Intend to leave the controls at the front, so cut the wires of the Cathode Tube to extend with my red/black wires. As my seats will be quite frequently taken on/off, I use those connectors instead of hard-wiring them so that easily connection and removal can be achieved for convenience. Also added a switch on my dash board on my din, below my pre-amp. For easy access to on/off the errie-green lamp but forgot to take picture of the switch button.

I bought green color again. Felt that Blue and Pink too dark, not bright enuf but white too plain.

wire crimped the connectors and wrapped with black tapes. Actually just saw those heat-to-contract rubber tube which should be a greater insulator or protection. Each packet of 10 cost abt $2, so 20 cents each. Next time I shall use this rubber hose instead of black tapes to make my works look more professional.

This is where I put at first, the controls in front and sound sensitive module also infront.

But later on found out that the tubes doesnt lights up, thought its bcos I spoilt the tubes due to rough handling. Already cutted the wires, so cannot change, bo bian. Bought another set.

In the end, same problem with 2nd set, then I suspect its due to my wiring. And I got it. Due to my wiring from the front stretch to the rear, wire too long, the resistance is too high and so the potential difference of the 700v allocated to the wires is too much until vry little is left for the tubes, so it cannot light up.

So must maintain the shortness of the wires from Sound Sensitive Module to the tube. But this is another problem, meaning either I shift the Sound Sensitive Module to the rear, so that my Control Module remain at the front, or I shift the entire set with Control Module to the rear and end up without control.

I tried to cut the wire between Control Module and Sound Sensitive Module, extend the wires to the rear. And from there the Cathode Tube wire being extended only abt 20cm, it works. So I must find a place to hide the Sound Sensitive Module.
