Sarong1 1st Gear January 2, 2006 Share January 2, 2006 According to the DLS website, Nobelium is a radioactive metal with atomic number102. It is named after the swedish scientist Alfred Nobel. Have a look at their website...http://www.dls.se/english/index.htm [/size] Accordingly, the Nobelium speakers are gonna be in the market Jan 06 onwards....anyone installed already should give a review here ya.... Sarong1 1st Gear January 2, 2006 Share January 2, 2006 Bro, the thingy about this "Nobelium" is that it is not found naturally but must be created in the lab. Little is known of this "rare earth metal" except that it is a synthetic elements. Now, how it transcends into a speaker material is remarkable. Just like how Focal has used Be as its material...Just watch how this fella will dominate the world of "rare metal" and soon find its way into our car. Soon, we will have to sign Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty" if we wanna buy one...hee, no offence, just want to put this in a lighter mood. How's business so far my young padawan? Kwongwing Neutral Newbie January 2, 2006 Share January 2, 2006 This time round not much luck - the usual shop I went to under renovation Anyway - stumbled onto a Chesky "Ultimate Demonstration Disc" - with tracks from Rebecca Pidgeon, Sara K, Stravinsky, etc. Before every track there is a short commentry about the track - e.g. how the track is recorded + its unique characteristics, it being transparent, depth, etc. Only "drawback" if it can be considered as a drawback at all - the commentry is in Mandarin. But my all time favourites for vocals - Amanda McBroom, Diane Schur (GRP), Beth Nielsen Chapman (Geffen) and Clair Marlo (Sheffield Lab)
