Cursor Neutral Newbie February 14, 2006 Share February 14, 2006 Hi, I try to look for Fiat car specification but can't find them on their website. Any mean of getting 1 before I head down to their showroom. Wonder what is the price of punto now.... ↡ Advertisement
Damienic 5th Gear February 14, 2006 Share February 14, 2006 Hi, I just placed an order for Punto about 10 days ago at price of S$54,000 inclusive of sports rims and leather seats... I did have the brochures then but currently not with me...will try to post it if I manage to find them... Its a great car to drive...even though its engine capacity is only 1242cc, its pick up and acceleration can match most of the 1.6L cars or even beat them... Certainly look forward to the delivery by end of this month...
Cursor Neutral Newbie February 15, 2006 Author Share February 15, 2006 Which is the main reason I want the spec. Cos I been hearing that the Punto power can match most cars above it rating, so just want to see the figures. But I know that the specification is not very good way to rate the power, since jap and korean always over rate the car and conti always under rate the car. Btw when you test drive the car, how you feel about it? In term of comfort and handling? Also how is the cabin noise (wheel, engine, road and wind) compare to other make like toyota altis or vios, rio or any other ride you can compare with. " really? it is a manual? when you compare, is it auto compared with auto, manual compared with manual and both driver's pushing their cars? what is the punto's 0-100kmph timing? King 1st Gear February 15, 2006 Share February 15, 2006 i test drive the punto, beri comfortable with it too bad no manual
Acemundo Supercharged February 15, 2006 Share February 15, 2006 must say it after testing it, was pretty impressed with the torque. and this was same sentiment of another friend who tested before me. both of us felt this punto actually more torquey than most 1.6 cc or below cars we have driven or test driven before
Toalson 1st Gear February 15, 2006 Share February 15, 2006 (edited) I find the torque pretty impressive for a 1.3A too. Best of all, I got to test it along the NS Bouna Vista Rd. Using the manual override as well for engine braking. Edited February 15, 2006 by Toalson
Familymanz 3rd Gear February 15, 2006 Share February 15, 2006 Hi, I try to look for Fiat car specification but can't find them on their website. Any mean of getting 1 before I head down to their showroom. Wonder what is the price of punto now.... Wat are u waiting for Some of the spec tat I can remember of Punto 80hp/5000rpm ABS/EBD Adjustable Driver seat.. Activate/Diactivation of Passenger Air Bag High OMV
Acemundo Supercharged February 15, 2006 Share February 15, 2006 wah seh, u drive all the way to buonas vista ah? i drove on kaki bukit flyover, also can chiong fast. anyway, the punto just reiterate to me that we can't judge everything based on paper. on paper 1.24cc niah, but in reality equally fast or even faster than most 1.6cc cars. i didn't try the manual override though but driving it like auto car, beats most autos
Luckcent 4th Gear February 15, 2006 Share February 15, 2006 didn't know the power part yet cos have not test drive this car but will try to do it one of these days to confirm.
Toalson 1st Gear February 15, 2006 Share February 15, 2006 I was shocked that the SE ask me to go to AYE n exit. But when going south too much traffic n asked if could do it again northward n he n vroom I went. The auto mode was good enuff for daily driving. But guess it would be really fuel efficient if switch to the economy mode (never try though). N with the city mode, the steering ultra light. Yup the OMV is high.... at ard 13k or 15K (cant remember)
Acemundo Supercharged February 15, 2006 Share February 15, 2006 omv abt 15.8k. thin margin. with a omv like this, its resale value in future may be better than even those of sunny (12k omv), rio (9k omv) etc
Toalson 1st Gear February 15, 2006 Share February 15, 2006 Good for owners Its sales tactic used by TTS, conquer by quantity. In fact for that price, its packs a lot of stuff.
