Fluffy Clutched February 24, 2006 Share February 24, 2006 (edited) the Aero X is very beautiful......very unlike the facelifted Saab 95, which is vying for ugliest car of the mth with the Stavic. anyway, chances of that actually happening is....... like winning the lottery. They need to refurbish their current 93 and 95 line-up first, which is like dunno when it's gonna happen, it doesn't help that there are rumours of the Swedish plant closing and the assembly being transferred to Germany where they build the Vectra. Those jet turbine 22" and 23" wheels [inline saab-aero-x-20060309051335652.jpg] The cockpit lighting [inline saab-aero-x-20060309051301137.jpg] The 3D instrumentation [inline saab-aero-x-20060309051235841.jpg] The pillarless 180 degree view (which happens to increase safety at the same time)... [inline saab-aero-x-20060309051159327.jpg] And that's before you get into the wonderful one piece canopy. It's Saab wearing their aircraft roots on their sleeve, which is what they need to do to stand out in this messy me-too world. I like the fact that the shape is kept flowing and organic, unlike the present fetish for conflicting surfacing. As concept cars go, it's a huge success. Remember, they don't have to produce it, but as a design direction, it can be highly significant and motivational. Think the Boxster show car or BMW Z9...
