my view is, you add eqx(btw how much is it?), might as well get a d2 or p90..after selling off your 8650. Think about it then decide. Dont be like me I change 3 HU before settling for a D2, all within 6 months.(7750->8650->956), every trade is a losing $$ business.

 

I only seen my installer use alpine 700/701 processor to tune for a jaguar w/ stock HU before using RTA. But the owner has since switch to a external HU. Think the sound is not up to his standard.

The EQX 2nd at $400.Do u know alpine 700/701 processor cost?

should have some diff, since i spend so much $$.

 

D2 sound more 'natural'. 8650 like more digital. (sorry I dont know how to describe them more scientificly). D2 like more balance.

 

All guru, like that describe can or not??

701 cost about 1200-1xxx. some say will get inherent hissing if use wit other brand HU.

 

My RCA cost 100 per pair. power wire 4 gauge only.
