Scrambyjess Neutral Newbie April 22, 2006 Share April 22, 2006 Anyone using Autoglym instant tyre shine? Seems like nobody mentioned this product in the forum. I am thinking whether to get Meguire's Endurance Gel or the AG tyre shine. Any reviews on these? ↡ Advertisement

Africatwin Neutral Newbie April 22, 2006 Share April 22, 2006 Need your help since you use autoglym. It's my 1st time using the sealant from autoglym, if not wrong should be the extra gloss protection. But i didn't know that the polishing method is not the same as wax. After i happily apply a layer(i think it's too thick) of it. I waited for it to dry till it's hazy but i got problem removing it. Now my car got patches on it, OMG almost fainted , spents 2 hours trying to remove it. Now sian half with this product but it's not the product, it's juz me no skill. Marcostan 4th Gear April 23, 2006 Share April 23, 2006 Bro AFRICATWIN, Too thick is not a problem, u only need to let it dry for a longer period. Do remember the EGS must let it set for at least 1 to 2 hours before u buff off. The longer u let it set the more easy for u to buff off and also better in durablilty. I was using Autoglym before but now I'm on another product. The reason for not using Autoglym product is because of the time to wait for drying is too long. The whole process can take me 6-8 hours, there's 3-4 hours are used to wait for the polish & sealant to set. Result is very good but the time consume is not justify. Just my 2 cents. Steelblue Neutral Newbie April 23, 2006 Share April 23, 2006 The waiting period is just ridiculous (for me), that's why my EGS is collecting dust at the back of my storeroom.
