Kumho Tires

I got mixed reactions for Kumho tires from users. Some claims it's great in dry and wet grip, some claims it doesn't grip in wet.

I own opinion is that it's a damn good tire! [cool]

Grips well in the dry and wet and quieter than my previous Goodyear Eagle F1.

Your opinions?

Turbobrick, how would you compare Kumho with the rest of the popular makes like ST115 or AspecDB or Trampio or P6000? I assumer Kumho is cheaper but by hpw many % cheaper?

Pls advise...

Hi Spin,

The Kumhos are up to par with my previous Goodyear Eagle F1s. Definitely much better by comparison to ST115s according to a few end user reviews of the ST115s, it's not a true bred performance tire.

Kumhos are a about 20% cheaper than ST115s last time I checked. The 115s are definitely quieter but wet grip is only average compared to Kumho.

Hey Volksey, thank you for your virgin post honor [;)] Appreciate it!

My Kumhos have served me well for the past 10k, been to Genting and back last week and they held up real well in the "rally" bends [laugh]

I saw the Toyo R1Rs on MikeChong's car and it's really impressive as well, the rubber is actually sticky when cold! Imagine the grip.....drooooollll [;)]

How much are those Toyos compared to Kumho?

Where did you get those kumho too? Im quoted $160 for R17... is that an ok price.

Lets go see some Toyos.

It's at a shop near McWell at Paya Ubi, Leong Seng. Do try calling them up first (7444280), my friend just told me that the bugger just increased his price to $200......inconsistent bugger, like Ah Siow of Jln Jurong Kecil! [crazy]
