Conned Clutched August 17, 2006 Share August 17, 2006 (edited) Gud morning. U wrote the word " Perspective" here..so..? WEll, do pardon me for intruding into ur "FORUM"..I wasn't aware that this is an "Enclosed Private SEAT " forum..n at no times meant anything offensive, perhaps u misunderstood & take offence. Wat I meant was you are right ,perhaps tosay the tires were the factors for the taxi to hav an accident.but there are many factors as well..( iwont go into that) Im realy glad as a person and a motorist tat u escape the incident unscathed. If you wan to psot sumthing, then pple will flame n offer their opinions...postive or not..n we hav to respect that..but I feel tat sumhow there is sumting personal in ur lines. I don't know you in person and I don't think I offend you or any SEAT members prior..so chill.. I'll stop here. Nuthing is cheap in this land..and I DO KNOW WHO I AM..Thank you Have a nice day..to u and to all Seatizens.. Reply "With Quote" Puts things into perspective.. Mel4fun Neutral Newbie August 17, 2006 Share August 17, 2006 Hi Conned, No worries.......no flame and no ego was hurt. Just to clarify - you may have miss a beat on what he meant "you know who you are" He was refering to someone whom the group knows (no names mentioned)....... and definitely NOT you Chill out ! Phalanx Neutral Newbie August 18, 2006 Author Share August 18, 2006 Hi Conned, I think you've misread my post as well as intentions. Like what Mel said, who I am referring to is one of us (Seat bros). That does not necessarily mean that this is an enclosed private forum. Like how the other forumers have posted, the post is something which they can relate to. And most importantly, I've not even met you so if you thought the post was directed to you, then I am unsure of why you felt that way, maybe some others have said that about you? Mel's right in that I am referring to one of us, the one we (Seat bros) know of because of his reputation Just because I directed or replied that my post was for the Seat Bros doesn't mean this is a private and enclosed forum, it just means I am setting the audience of my post. The word 'perspective' is a general concept directed once again at my bros because in those days, we always were fixated with modding this and that and spending $$$ on this and that when in fact, as most of us know by now because of various responsibilities, we are aware that there are more important things in life to do, like spending time with loved ones etc. Hope my post is clear as I don't think I can make it any more succinct. FYI, I don't even know what car you drive. And like how my bros here know about me, it takes a bit more than a post to make me feel offended. Have a nice day too. Phalanx Neutral Newbie August 18, 2006 Author Share August 18, 2006 Yeah and we all know your voice is 'real' hiaks. Slow and easy huh...I'm still trying my best, bet you are too. You still on Precedas?
Mel4fun Neutral Newbie August 18, 2006 Share August 18, 2006 K, yep..still on Preceda. Hopefully can last me another 10K before I get to change. Was looking around but hard to find one that suit my need - soft yet quiet, and not sacrificing too much on handling. Preceda-2 not in town for my size, and no hope of getting P-Zero Rosso either (too $$$ ) Hope that "you know who you are" could test out and let me know. He will be shopping for tyres much earlier than I do
Jhoo Neutral Newbie August 18, 2006 Share August 18, 2006 Chill & no woriies, seatizen very friendly one, trust me. Though, I dun know all of them until "bend arm break" but generally they are fun. Speaking of which this post brings out the guilt in me, I'm now with cheap taiwan rims and Jap brand but asean made tyres. But I have to say I'm not as fast as before, or should i say i go real slow nowadays....
Phalanx Neutral Newbie August 18, 2006 Author Share August 18, 2006 Actually I am shopping for tires heh. Due in 6K. Either Dunlop SP Maxx Sport or Bridgestone RE050. Though for my size, the latter is 100/tire more than Dunlop.
Phalanx Neutral Newbie August 18, 2006 Author Share August 18, 2006 Jhoo, don't have to have guilt what, as long as you are happy with what you have and why you chose them in the first place. Cheap is subjective, think you know that lah, especially with some of the bros here hahahah. But yeah I am sure we all know the importance of good tires huh.
Mel4fun Neutral Newbie August 18, 2006 Share August 18, 2006 (edited) RE050 is great on handling ....BUT sidewall is pretty stiff. You like bouncy bottom ? OK, you change and let me know.....have to try yours before you change then can tell the difference. OK, we may have done many times but let's go for refresh course here :- Assumptions :- Adequate handling in wet & dry (Performance range, but not neccessary ultra performance) Quiet and comfortable (ie. preferbly softer side wall) Tyre size : either 225/45R17 or 225/40R18 Choices :- P-Zero Rosso ..... Comfy, pretty quiet, but very $$$ and high thread wear P-Zero Nero .... harder, noiser, but better grip in dry. Also $$$ Bridgestone RE050 .... any review ??? Dunlop Sport Maxx ..... any review ??? Michelin Preceda ...... Comfy, not too loud, good wear rate .... mid to high $$$ Michelin Pilot Sport (1/2) ..... Comfy, great in wet & dry, very $$$$ Goodyear F1 GSD3 ..... Great in wet and excellent in dry. Not too $$$, but noisy Goodyear RevSpec 02 ... any review ?? ????? any more Edited August 18, 2006 by Mel4fun

But price also cannot compare. Bloody ex..... Now thinking of going 18s, dunno where to find 400 plus per tire for the PS2s. Preceda2 also no size for 225/40/18. So scratch head lah.......
